Well I saw that coming, after great day in Manchester visiting the Track and Cloudwater breweries, the pubs nearby Old Trafford were in good voice. However, that stopped once entered the turnstiles…

Many missed chances later and one goal up at halftime was far too less. Catering stopped at that point because of electric failure and then United conceded a clear handball goal after the break. So my first extra time at Old Trafford was on, which was completely useless 30mins spent. The penalties put the icing on the cake to go out of the FA cup again on a stormy and rainy night under the floodlights…

After the penalty shootout from Gdansk another not necessary shootout was lost. It was also the second time for me to see United going out of the FA cup after the crazy match against the later winners Portsmouth in 2008.

Something is severely wrong with this overpaid squad. Let’s remember the Munich‘58 air disaster.

Next morning, I visited the former training ground before United moved to Carrington. The Cliff is still used for Under 10s and below. This is where Sir Alex had his office back in the day during the 90‘s era.
