This match was not planned, but as my little son wanted to go to the circus, which happened next to the Zentralstadion in Leipzig at the same time, I went with my older son to his first Bundesliga match. He has already seen some bigger matches abroad, however that was his first match in Germany in a bigger ground.
I need to admit that even the match was sold out the day before we decided to go, it was fairly easy to buy the last remaining cheap tickets through the digital app resale.
Even though the match was not great, my son enjoyed it really much, we watched the first half in our designated ticket block behind the goal next to the away sector and moved at halftime to the upper tier of the longside stand.
Good food and drink selection made it a surprising good day out. In the evening I saw my handball club winning in the 4th league in their first post COVID break game.
